Ann Allen, ARNP, District Health Professional

Ann Allen RN, ARNP, BSN, MSN, FNP-BC is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. 

Ann received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Presentation College in South Dakota in 1998.  She has worked as an RN in Critical Care environments including SWAT, ICU, and Emergency Nursing.  Ann has also worked as an Education Specialist, Operations Manager for a freestanding Urgent Care and on Telemetry floors. 

Ann Allen, NBSD's HealthProfessional During Ann’s nursing training and several years after graduation, Ann volunteered with a surgical medical mission group that assisted persons in rural states of Mexico.  Ann volunteered to serve for eight years in the Nurse Corp of the United States Navy Reserves, active duty. Her service is a very important part of her life and she feels caring for injured service members at the National Navy Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland is a deep honor.  

Ann has assisted in opening two hospital facilities while living in the Phoenix Metro area: West Valley Hospital and Banner Estrella Medical Center. Ann has a passion for Pediatric Emergency Preparedness and created a simulation training program utilized at the Arizona Pediatric Symposium for pre-hospital and emergency hospital personnel annually since 2014.  She loves population-based care and improving pediatric outcomes in rural areas.   

Ann obtained her MSN from Grand Canyon University in 2017. She practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Grays Harbor County since her graduation. When Ann is not working, she loves to explore the beaches on the Washington coast, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with her son.
