SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 10, 2026

Proposition No. 1 - Renewal Educational Programs and Operation Levy

Passage of Proposition No. 1 would allow North Beach School District to renew an existing educational programs and operation levy that will expire at the end of calendar year 2026. The renewal levy will be used to pay expenses of educational programs and operation that are not fully funded by the State of Washington, including, but not limited to, teachers, counselors, aides, food service, music, art, extracurricular activities/sports, and maintenance and operations.  Further information is available at the District's website www.northbeachschools.org.

The proposed two-year renewal levy would authorize collection of taxes to provide up to $2,636,550 in 2027 and $2,778,923 in 2028. The levy rate per $1,000 of assessed value required to produce these amounts is estimated to be $0.63 in 2027 and $0.66 in 2028. The exact levy rates and amounts to be collected may be adjusted based upon the actual assessed value of the taxable property within the District and the limitations imposed by State law at the time of levy.  Exemptions from Taxes may be availalbe to certain homeowners.  To determine if you qualify, contact the Grays Harbor County Assessor at 360-249-4121.
