Food Services

The USDA Child Nutrition Programs provide healthy, balanced meals and snacks to millions of children in schools, childcare facilities, and summer programs. Administered by the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), these federal initiatives help lower food insecurity and support proper growth.  The key programs we offer here at North Beach School District are as follows:

  • National School Lunch Program (NSLP): Offers low-cost or free lunches to eligible students in public and non-profit private schools every school day.
  • School Breakfast Program (SBP): Delivers nutritious morning meals to students in participating schools to help them get ready to learn.
  • The Breakfast After the Bell program serves a nutritious morning meal to students after the official start of the school day to students that missed the opportuninty to have the first morning meal. This approach removes barriers like late bus arrivals and morning stigma, helping to boost academic focus, improve test scores, and reduce tardiness and absences.*Our schools are continuing to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2026-2027 school year.  This means that all students eat free regardless of family income.  We are still required to collect a Child Nutrition Eligibilty & Education Benefit Application from families.  This application may qualify you for: meal benefits, Summer EBT benefits (if enrolled in a NSLP/SBP school), reduced fees for other programs and activities, and/or help secure funding for your school district. If your child(ren) are enrolled in a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) or Provision 2 school, completing this application will not impact your eligibility to receive meals at no cost.  Please print and fill out the following form and return it to your child's school.
